Cinq-Mars, Elizabeth
Elizabeth (McGarry) Cinq-Mars, 53, of Danbury, wife of Mark R. Cinq-Mars, died on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Danbury Hospital. Liz was born in Danbury, April 10, 1963, daughter of John McGarry and Polly (Kakadelis) McGarry. She attended local schools, graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1981 and Katharine Gibbs School.
Mrs. Cinq-Mars was first employed as an administrative assistant at Boehringer- Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. of Ridgefield and later a secretary at St. Gregory the Great Church of Danbury. A lifelong Danbury resident, Liz was an Elvis fan and had a great love for pets especially her dogs. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Church of Danbury. Most especially, Liz cherished the time she devoted being a wife and mom and the time spent with her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. In addition to her parents John and Polly of Danbury and husband Mark of twenty two years, Liz is survived by a son, Jarett M. Cinq-Mars of Danbury; a daughter, Sarah E. Cinq-Mars of Danbury; four brothers, Peter McGarry of Newtown, Kevin McGarry of Danbury, Michael McGarry of NY State and John McGarry of Danbury as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury. Interment will be private and at the direction of the family. The family will receive friends at St. Gregory the Great Church following the mass. Contributions in Liz's memory may be made to the A.L.S. (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Foundation, 1275 K Street NW, Suite 250, Washington, DC 20005. Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury is in charge of arrangements.
