Tammy Ward

Tammy Sue Ward, 32, a pharmacy technician at CVS in Brookfield, died Thursday, February 22, 1996 in Georgetown.

Miss Ward, of 14 Bells Place, Danbury, was born in Danbury on April 9, 1963, a daughter of Walter C. Ward Sr. of Danbury and Shirley Sheppard Ward of Robersonville, N.C.

A Danbury resident all her life, she attended Danbury schools and graduated in 1981 from Danbury High School.

Miss Ward had been employed at National Semi-Conductor and Davis & Geck in Danbury.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Danbury. While in high school, she was a member of the Junior ROTC and captain of the color guard.

Besides her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Makeva Purvis of Danbury; her paternal grandmother, Annie Ward of Williamston, N.C.; three brothers, James R. Ward, Leon Parker and Walter C. Ward Jr., all of Danbury; a sister, Mary Ann Ward of Danbury; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Hull Home, 60 Division St., Danbury

Services Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the Hull Home in Danbury with the Rev. Aaron Samuels officiating. Burial will be in Andrew's Memorial Garden, Williamston, N.C.

The Congleton Funeral Home of Robersonville N.C., is in charge of arrangements in North Carolina.
